It’s often fun to look back on these questions and answers posts to see what may have changed or what has stayed the same. Julie, from Peanut Butter Fingers, posted her 73 Q&A this week and I thought it would be fun to do one for myself! Pick a couple questions for yourself and let me know something about you!
1. What’s the best thing that happened to you this month? We booked tickets to Australia!
2. What’s your favorite game? Currently: Catan (board game), Monopoly Deal (card game), Theme Hospital (computer game)
3. When are you most inspired? When walking in a beautiful nature setting.
4. If you could teach one subject in school what would it be? Art History
5. What’s your favorite beverage? Fruit Smoothies (or a mango lassi)
6. If you could get on a plane right now, where would you go? I feel like there are so many amazing places I’d love to visit but since Hanna has bombarding me with photos from Greece the last week, I’ve been craving a Mamma Mia experience for myself lately.
7. What is your favorite birthday cake? I’m not a huge cake person but a good funfetti with a cream cheese frosting sounds good.
8. What is one thing you still have from your childhood? I still have quite a few things from my childhood but one thing that might be impossible to let go of is the stuffed leopard I got for Christmas when I was 9. It’s currently in storage though.
9. What is your favorite movie? I feel like any good rom-com belongs on this list. A couple that come to mind are The Proposal and Letters to Juliet.
10. What is something you can’t do? Fly.
11. Window or aisle seat? Window.
12. What makes you laugh no matter what? Friends (the show… or the real live people).
13. What does creativity mean to you? Creating something for yourself because it brings you joy, stress relief, an outlet for the things on your mind.
14. Do you have any collections? I just went through my keychain collection last week to take it out of a box so I can actually have them all on display! I weeded out a few meaningless ones but it’s still a decent sized collection!
15. What is your favorite holiday? I love the Thanksgiving-Christmas season but 4th of July is usually a lot of fun because of the summer weather.
16. What’s heavily played on your music playlist right now? My main playlist is extremely random but one of my current go-tos is Classic by MKTO.
17. If you could raid one woman’s closet whose would it be? I mean… we aren’t the same size but I wish I could wear my sister’s clothes. Hanna has a lot of cute outfits.
18. Must have purse item? Lip balm.
19. What did you want to be when you grew up when you were 12? A flight attendant or a dolphin trainer.
20. What is something you will not be doing in ten years? PAYING OFF STUDENT LOANS! #countdown
21. What is an important life lesson for someone to learn? Just because you should be nice to everyone doesn’t mean you have to be friends with everyone. Cut the toxic drama out of your life and give your time and energy to the people who bring you joy.
22. How do you start your day? Reading things on my phone.
23. Would you ever live anywhere besides Maryland? Brady and I have talked about Florida and North Carolina as strong future contenders. Honestly, the thing that keeps us grounded here is being near both of our families.
24. What is your favorite dessert? Soft-serve ice cream. Fresh homemade peach crisp.
25. Is there a dessert you don’t like? Cherry pie.
26. It’s brunch! What do you eat? Pancakes or waffles.
27. Where was the best vacation you’ve ever taken? I’d have to say our honeymoon was pretty much the best thing ever. It was the first solo vacation for either of us, not to mention we’d just gotten married so nothing could beat that high. We stayed in a vacation home with our own pool, ate tons of delicious food, and hung out at Disney World.
28. Favorite Disney Character? I’ve loved Cinderella ever since I was little but I also really like Tinker Bell.
29. What is a book you are planning on reading? I’ve been wanting to re-read Gone With the Wind since I haven’t read it since high school. I’d also like to read Spark Joy by Marie Kondo.
30. What did you read most recently? HGTV magazine
31. Favorite solo artist? Michael Buble
32. What is something you’re tired of? Making dinner.
33. What’s a city you wish to visit? London, Florence, and Zermatt are pretty high on the list.
34. Heels or flats? Flats for comfort, heels for great looking calves.
35. Where does one go on a perfect road trip? National Parks out west (including Canada).
36. What do you do on a rainy day? Wish for sun.
37. What’s your favorite exercise? Swimming.
38. What was your worst subject in school? Pre-Calculus.
39. What’s a tip to live by? Lately I’ve been trying to be better about staying on top of things so that a 5 second fix now doesn’t become a 20 minute chunk of time later. (Put things away as you’re passing by, rinse dishes when you’re done eating, wipe down the high chair right after dinner so you don’t have to spend 30 minutes deep cleaning it every other week).
40. What do you usually eat for breakfast? Variety: toast, cereal, smoothies, hot cereal, bagel, fruit…
41. What do you usually eat for dinner? Too many carbs. I’m trying to make veggies a bigger part of my diet.
42. Cooking or Baking? Baking is more fun but I think I’m a better cook than baker. Honestly, I like to eat and cooking is just a necessary evil.
43. Favorite baked good? Peach Pie or crisp. Macaron’s. Fancy pastries.
44. What is something you wish you could be good at? Dancing. I love dancing as a form of art and expression. It can be so beautiful.
45. Skiing or Surfing? I can ski and I’ve never surfed. I feel like surfing would be more fun since I love swimming. I’m scared of sea creatures though.
46. First celebrity crush? I have no idea. I loved Josh Hutcherson from Little Manhattan when I was 13.
47. Most recent celebrity crush? I’m kinda liking Chris Hemsworth at the moment. I don’t think I’ve ever been big on celeb crushes.
48. What color was your prom dress? Never had one! My senior recital dress was white if that counts.
49. How do you manage stress? I do what I can to make every day enjoyable and fun. I also like to have something to look forward to and plan for whether it’s a small or big getaway. Currently planning for a couple upcoming big getaways that I’m super excited for.
50. What do you do to relax? Take a bath.
51. Age when you were first kissed? Barely 16.
52. Place you were first kissed? School haha.
53. Favorite fashion trend of all time? I think I really liked the poncho phase from when I was a tween.
54. Best fashion advice you’ve ever received? Be comfortable!
55. What is your current favorite piece of clothing that you own? Speaking of comfort! I just got some new high-waisted Fabletics leggings that are super comfortable and I wish I had more.
56. Shoes or Bags? Shoes.
57. How do you know if you’re in love? When you feel safe. When you feel home. When you know you can talk about anything and they’ll listen and actually care. 58. Television show you’ve binged on recently? I haven’t been watching too much lately because it’s hard to sit and watch anything with an active moving baby. Most recently we were watching The West Wing.

62. What is your Kryptonite? Food.
63. Would you rather take a cruise or a road trip? Road trip please! I’m not particularly interested in going on a cruise.

65. What is your biggest weakness? I’m a procrastinator.
66. What are 3 words to describe living in Maryland? Humid, (Not enough hiking), the Bay
