Can you believe that today is the last day of summer? I can’t believe fall is already here!ย I don’t love when sundown is getting earlier but it was perfect timing for me last night when I was picking up hubby from work. It was a spectacular drive.
On Sunday I went to the B&O Railroad museum with my dad, brother, step-sis, and hubby. I don’t have half the photos though because my phone is now dead forever. See below.
I was hoping we’d get to go hiking this weekend, but my back fell out in a really weird way last week and I’ve been struggling a lot since then. Everything feels locked up and even a leisurely walk is a pain. There have been a few times I’ve had to lay down for a few hours and not move because any micro-movement felt like I was cracking ice in my back. I feel like a broken record always going on about my back, but it overwhelms my life and I just want to make it better. We were hoping to do our first backpacking trip this weekend but now that’s impossible and even our bike trip in western MD is looking a little unstable.
I can’t do yoga at the moment because everything feel so unstable. Since I pretty much can’t do any exercise and I’ve been feeling blue because of all the pain, I’ve been eating unhealthily and probably a little too much. I really want to make a change and I know that I need to change my diet in order to make progress in my weight loss journey which is necessary for healing my back. So I’ve decided to go drastic. Stay tuned for my new health regime.
In other news, I found out I’ve been overpaying insurance for 14 months. Apparently even though I was on Maryland insurance coverage and my mailing address was in Maryland, my insurer thought the car was still in Michigan. Around $300 gone and I can’t get back. Adulting is hard.
Yesterday I had to return/exchange my 2 week old camera because of a mechanical error. Luckily it was the last day I could do that since I refuse to use Best Buy’s insurance policies. I had a bad experience in the past…
Also, my phone died randomly yesterday. Can’t even turn it on. Apparently it’s a battery issue and anything that isn’t backed up is probably gone forever. The saddest (and most embarrassing) part is, I think I lost about 1000 pics of my cat. She’s so stinkin’ cute. My camera photos auto-sync to Google photos but I take the cat ones on Snapchat so I can send them to my sis. This is the last photo my phone will ever take:
But thank goodness Autumn Squash soup is back.
On the brighter side of things, we’re buying a car! My cousin is a car dealer and helped us find a car and we should be getting it in the next few weeks so it will be exciting for each of us to have our own car.
Otherwise I’m currently spending my days going through our mountains of junk and sorting out stuff to sell, donate, or pack for moving. Today I found some candles from last fall that I’d forgotten I had!ย Bath and Body Works has my favorite 3-wick candles and just to put it out there— Leaves is the best fall candle. I also have some leftover Pumpkin Apple from last year and it’s pretty amazing.
As I was searching for stuff at Target last night, I noticed the first appearance of the Christmas stuff! That must mean it’s time for me to bust out the Christmas music! ๐ Who am I kidding, I’ve already been listening to my PTX album in the car for a couple weeks. Tell me I’m not the only one who wants to listen to Christmas music for more than a month!
When is the earliest you can start listening to Christmas music?
What’s your favorite BBW candle scent?
What are you going to miss the most about summer?
What are you looking forward to most this fall?
OPI fall color recommendations? (I have a coupon)
Happy hump day!
I’m linking up with Amanda from Running With Spoons for this post.
